We design and build optical and RF over fiber delay lines in Aachen, Germany. Our focus is high mechanical precision, low optical loss, and long-term stability for demanding laboratory and accelerator environments.
Our work began with customized optical delay systems for the particle accelerators COSY (FZ Jülich) and FAIR (GSI Darmstadt), which has shaped our approach to mechanical design and optical performance. The underlying design principles, drift-compensation methods, and integration aspects are documented in a technical publication. Our delay lines incorporate loss and drift compensation, including temperature-induced fiber length correction, enabling stable operation in applications where timing reproducibility is critical.
We are a small engineering company, keeping development, machining, assembly, and testing local in Aachen. This allows us to deliver short lead times, iterate quickly, and customize devices for specific experimental setups.
